Adam Hussman

Camarillo, California, United States

# 4-112

Adam graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelors degree in Film Studies and a Business of Media Studies Certificate. Adam moves back out to California shortly after to pursue a career in the film industry. Adam interned at a boutique talent agency in North Hollywood where he learned how to scout and evaluate various commercial, Television, and Film actors/entertainers. It was there where Adam further honed his skill for analyzing talent. However, Adam decided that his true passion was and is still is sports and in particular basketball, so he decided to switch gears and follow his dream of working in the basketball industry. This past January he took the SMWW Basketball GM & Scouting Course, which was obstructed by former NBA Executive of the year, Mark Warkentien and managing partner of Net Scouts, Carl Berman. Adam enjoyed this course and learned a great deal from these experts in the basketball industry and was able to develop his training of evaluating basketball talent and gained more insight on how to look at basketball in a different way. Adam’s experience interning with a talent agency has benefited him with his work on scouting reports for basketball players, because the steps taken to assess an actor are necessary in looking at a basketball player, even though they are different industries.

Adam has since been working as a consultant for the athletic program of the growing International Sports Academy in Cleveland, OH. He has been recruiting different high school players domestically and over seas to come play basketball and other sports that the academy is seeking out.

Adam is now enrolled in the NetScouts apprenticeship, to add more valuable experience to his resume. Adam is doing the apprenticeship to improve as a basketball scout and to help out different organizations in their search for players.
