Locally, Chad has also served as an Assistant Basketball Coach for middle and high school teams in Lane County for several seasons before which he coached youth basketball teams of all ages in both Taiwan and Aruba. Chad grew up in Eugene and while attending Sheldon High School, Chad was a 3-sport Varsity Letterman in basketball, soccer and football. During his senior year, he earned First Team All-State honors in the state of Oregon as a Defensive Back and he and his team won the Oregon state championship for football. Chad attended college in Oregon as well, earning college scholarships to play basketball and soccer, and obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and his Master’s Degree in Education. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Chad was offered the opportunity to work as an intern at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon alongside the General Manager of the United States Basketball Department. During that time, Chad had his first experience with Sports Management Worldwide in taking the Digital Video Energy course associated with Synergy Sports. He enjoyed learning the foundational skills necessary to edit both college and international basketball games and working with the Synergy team for a season. As someone who lives and breathes sports, the opportunity to observe, analyze, and critique the best current and future basketball players in the world is truly a dream come true for Chad. His main focus will be upon building his strategies and tools and he is looking forward to training alongside professional scouts with the hope he will gain insight into all that goes into scouting players. He cannot wait to make the most of this training program. |
