Michael Collier graduated from SMWW Hockey GM & Scouting Course in April 2021 and is a Goalie/Player Scout with SMWW. Michael has 40-years of involvement in the game, with experience/accomplishments across playing, scouting, hockey operations, and GM. He has a detailed & thorough understanding of the mental, technical, and physical components of the Goaltending and Defense positions. Michael is currently the Nova Scotia Scout/Advisor for Challenge Athletics Hockey Agency out of Copenhagen Denmark which specializes in next-level advancement and development in Professional, Semi-Professional, College, Junior, and AAA hockey in Europe and North America. Michael’s responsibilities include player talent evaluation at the AUS/CIS University hockey level, QMJHL, MHL, and other levels of Junior, Midget Major & Elite Youth. Michael has an extensive Ball Hockey background, at both the World & National levels, both as a player (Goaltender) and Scout/Consultant for Team Canada at the Men’s World Ball Hockey Championships (1998-2000). Currently the Director of High-Performance Development for the Nova Scotia Ball Hockey Association (NSBHA). Michael’s responsibilities include Player Identification at the Men’s, Master's, and Junior Levels for Regional & National competition. Michael combines his passion for the game, knowledge gained from the SMWW Hockey GM & Scouting Course, and Ice Hockey and Ball Hockey experiences (Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany) in various roles, to complement his existing networking /colleague base, drawing from specialized disciplines, to provide a unique and different perspective, while working towards the NHL or Europe Super Leagues (DEL, NLA, and SHL) as a Goalie/Player Scout, GM or Agent Advisor. |
