Pete Trammell established himself as one of the all-time greats in Grand Valley State men's basketball history. Trammell played in (131) and started (130) more games than any other player in the history of the program. The team's success during his four-year career is unmatched as GVSU went 113-20 overall, including a 66-13 GLIAC record and three GLIAC North Division crowns. The Lakers also won two GLIAC regular-season titles, two GLIAC tournament titles and advanced to the GLIAC Tournament title game four times during his career. GVSU appeared in the NCAA Tournament four times, won two NCAA Midwest Regional titles, and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight twice. Trammell, who ranks 24th in all-time points with 1,209, pulled down 490 rebounds, dished out 240 assists, tallied 134 steals, and hit 148 three-pointers. Pete was a two-time First-Team All-GLIAC and two-time First-Team All- GLIAC Defensive Team performer.
Pete went on to play professionally in 3 different countries, since 2009 he has trained basketball players at all levels of competition. In May of 2017, he took the varsity boys head coach position at Mount Clemens High School (Michigan). He is an experienced talent evaluator, covering local teams and players. With his experience as a player, trainer, and coach, he will carve a path as a scout and/or player representative at the pro level.
